After over two decades as a Creative Director, I’m closing my MacBook and putting on an apron full time.

I’ve always found the kitchen the ultimate creative space. By the time I was 8, I was in charge of making dinner a couple of nights a week – from deciding on the menu to cooking a full meal – and a love affair was born.

My bread adventures began well over a decade ago. Then one day I began to cultivate a new starter – and an obsession began. I was baking nearly every day for almost a year straight, stuffing my family and friends’ mouths full with an excited, “Try this!” every chance I got. Chasing the perfect crust, the perfect crumb, the perfect flavor…and my mom and husband started to encourage me to do this for a living, saying they hadn’t seen me this happy in years.

A few months later, there was a bakery in my house.
